Meet Your New Disney Princess, ‘Moana,’ Played By 14-Year-Old Auli’i Cravalho

Disney has denounced a voice of a newest Disney princess, “Moana,” as 14-year-old Auli’i Cravalho. Cravalho, who is a Native Hawaiian, will star alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

“When we initial listened that there was going to be an try-out to potentially play a purpose of ‘Moana,’ we suspicion ‘No way, that could be me,'” Cravalho, who is from Oahu, told People in a behind-the-scenes video

“Auli’i was a really final lady that we saw on my final day of casting ,” pronounced Rachel Sutton, a casting director. After a few some-more auditions (and a large warn reveal) Cravalho had a role. 

Her mother, Puanani Cravalho, described the part as a “blessing.” She was during work when her daughter astounded her with a call that she was Disney’s newest princess. 

Fellow cast member The Rock welcomed Cravalho to a Disney movie, Instagramming a design of her after a worldwide auditions were complete. 

He described a story of how Cravalho was expel and pronounced it was “an overwhelming doctrine to all immature kids out there… work hard, have certainty in yourselves and never consider that you’re not good adequate since we never know what a destiny holds.”
