Word recently came out that not only will Schwarzenegger himself be returning to the series again in some respect, Linda Hamilton will be rejoining as well. In fact, Schwarzenegger said at the same event that Hamilton is already training to step back into Sarah Connor’s shoes.
The movie is being directed by Deadpool‘s Tim Miller, with the writers’ list including David Goyer (Batman Begins, The Man of Steel) and Josh Friedman, creator of the (in my opinion, hugely underrated) TV spinoff, The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
With so many of the series’ major players involved and a director with a massively successful R-rated blockbuster under his belt, maybe we’ll actually get something worth watching.
Terminator 6 doesn’t have a release date just yet, but a 2020 release doesn’t seem unreasonable.
