Gypsy Rose Blanchard Debuts Pixie Cut After Chopping ‘Fried’ Hair: ‘No Wig’ SEO:
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is embracing her pixie cut.
Blanchard, 34, showed off her short haircut while going makeup-free in a new photo shared via Instagram on Monday, January 19.
The mom of one — who shares daughter Aurora with Ken Urker — flaunted her brunette hair, which was styled with her bangs slightly pushed to one side of her head.
Blanchard teamed her look with hydrated skin. She gave the camera a soft smile.
“No wig today… just me. 🥰,” she captioned the post. Blanchard’s followers complimented her in the comments section.
“I love your hair like this, dare I say iconic??? You look amazing!” one wrote. A second added, “A hot new bombshell has entered the villa 😍,” while another gushed, “Cute hairstyle.”
Blanchard previously explained that she chopped her mane via her Instagram Story in November 2025.
“This is my natural hair,” she said of her short hairdo, per E! News. “I had to cut it really short because nearly two years of bleaching it completely fried it.”
She added, “I don’t feel confident with short hair, so I normally wear a high-quality wig while my real hair grows back healthy.” Blanchard noted that she was giving her mane “a fresh start so it can grow long again.”
Her hair isn’t the only thing Blanchard has changed about her appearance since being released from prison.
In May of 2024, she debuted her results after getting a nose job and reflected on the recovery process, telling E! News, “I wish someone had told me how much pain it was.”
She continued, “But I’m very proud of my new nose. I love my new nose. It’s subtle. I still look like me. But it’s definitely given me self-confidence.”
Her blonde hair also gave her more confidence. “The blonde gave me a little bit of an ego boost. Blondes have more fun,” she quipped of her naturally brunette hair.
Blanchard has been on a transformative journey ever since she was released from prison in December 2023.

She pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2016 for conspiring with her ex-boyfriend Nicholas “Nick” Godejohn to kill her 48-year-old mother, Dee Dee, in June 2015. Gypsy’s ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, for his part, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Dee Dee was believed to suffer from Munchausen syndrome by proxy. According to WebMB, it is “a psychological disorder marked by attention-seeking behavior by a caregiver through those who are in their care.” Because of Dee Dee’s alleged condition, Gypsy grew up believing that she suffered from a number of illnesses, including leukemia, muscular dystrophy, brain damage, seizures, and vision and hearing impairments and more. She was forced to use a wheelchair and a feeding tube. Dee Dee also took donations to help fund Gypsy’s medical bills.
Gypsy has found love with Ken and even welcomed a baby girl in December 2024.
