Trevor Bauer poured kerosene on the fire Thursday when he alleged wire-wearing by some players on the Houston Astros. Constant accusations, as the team and MLB faces a major electronic sign stealing scandal.

On Friday, Bauer’s former teammate – Cleveland Indians right-hander Mike Clevinger – said the Astros “should be ashamed of themselves” and that criticized MLB for levying what he believes to be a lenient penalty on the organization.

“I don’t think any of those mother (expletive) should be able to look us in the eye,” he said in a video produced and posted online by Momentum, a media company Bauer co-founded. “They should feel ashamed.”

Seated at a roundtable, Clevinger said he took the cheating allegations personally. He also lamented the fact fans remain largely unaware of the plight most players take on their road to majors.

“I’ve had to live with my mom until I got to the big leagues. And now you’re telling me that someone potentially shorting my career, sent me back down, make me figure shit out because they figured what I was throwing in their park?” Clevinger said. “So many guys are going ‘How can I stay here? What will make me stay here?'”
