Part of ancestral Desert Inn nearby Orlando collapses after semitrailer hits building

OSCEOLA COUNTY— A partial of the ancestral Desert Inn and Restaurant in Yeehaw Junction, Florida, collapsed early Sunday morning after a semitrailer strike a building.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers pronounced a male hauling orange extract crashed into a building south of Orlando around 3:15 a.m.

The driver, Mareo Crawley, 50, of Chicago, told troopers he didn’t comprehend he had driven off a highway in a dark. No one was inside a building.

Troopers pronounced when a draw lorry pulled a almost out from where it crashed, partial of a  building collapsed.

The pile-up stays underneath review and charges are pending, troopers said.

Lisa Mason, who ran a motel before a closure, told a Associated Press she had hoped to free a motel subsequent year.

The motel is a centerpiece of Yeehaw Junction, a little remit off Florida’s Turnpike between South Florida and Orlando.

It was combined to a National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
