NYC’s ‘Pizza Rat’ has some competition: Meet ‘Coffee Rat’

Nothing can get between New Yorkers and their morning coffee – and apparently, this even extends to a city’s rodent population. 

New York City’s “Pizza Rat” went viral in 2015 and given then, other rats have been seen carrying slices, but now, Twitter user Melissa Walker has posted a video of a rodent carrying a coffee crater while watchful for a 3 sight in Brooklyn.  

Walker shared a video of a rodent carrying a cup opposite a transport height on Twitter Wednesday. “Made my whole day!!” she captioned a video, that she remarkable was taken during a Franklin Avenue station. 

She deemed a small quadruped #coffeerat. And now, like Pizza Rat before it, Coffee Rat has left viral.

Other Twitter users reacted to a video, some even had theories about where Coffee Rat was headed. 

Mike Billips responded to Walker’s strange twitter with a joke: “Best partial is, he’s bringing that coffee to a trainer rat.”

NYCT Subway, an central Twitter comment for a Metropolitan Transportation Authority, also piped in, extraordinary about what line “Coffee Rat” was watchful to house during a dusk rush. 

“Good evening,” NYCT Subway wrote. “Coffee Rat’s in a bit of a hurry. Can we tell us that line and height during Franklin Av this is?”

And another user, Billy Freeland, wrote that a video was reminicent of a New Yorker repository cover comparing a rodent and a tellurian in a subway.

Coffee Rat is advantageous to live in New York; a caffeine-seeking critter might have been slapped with a sheet for eating or celebration on other cities’ metro platforms.
