Wimbledon CEO to leave after 2020 tournament

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — The arch executive of Wimbledon says he will step down after 8 years in a role.

Richard Lewis will leave after subsequent year’s grass-court Grand Slam eventuality during a All England Club.

The depart of Lewis, who assimilated as CEO in 2012, coincides with a handover of a purpose of Wimbledon authority from Philip Brook to Ian Hewitt.

Under Lewis there was a 160% boost in actor esteem money, Court No. 1 was rebuilt and a grass-court deteriorate was extended.

Brook says Lewis has delivered “a unusual duration of change that will prolonged be famous in the history.”
