BMW has unveiled the 2018 X3, its latest luxury SVU

Upping the power surge, the M40i has a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that ups the ante to 355 horsepower and 369-foot pound of torque. All that extra horsepower lowers the 60 mile per hour time down to 4.6 seconds.

On the exterior, BMW did the right thing by keeping the same familiar X-line design. It does look a little boring, bypassing the flashiness of the Lexus NX and Mercedes Benz GLC, but it’s still a really great look. Among the minor changes to note is a little more interior space to the tune of 62.7 cubic feet that’s been extracted from a bigger wheelbase.

Inside, BMW carried over a lot of the same characteristics found in its 5 and 7 Series sedans. All X3 models will come BMW’s xLine package. There’s an optional 10.25-inch display with the iDrive 6.0 that can be controlled through touch or the iDrive controller and wireless Apple CarPlay.

The X3 will be made in BMW’s Spartanburg, South Carolina plant and will be available some time in late 2017.
