The cameras are rolling and the lights are on: it’s Super Bowl LIV Opening Night.

Officially, Super Bowl week is underway in Miami.

The event, the modern innovation of what was originally known as “media day,” will feature players and coaches from the Kansas City Chiefs (7 p.m. ET) and the San Francisco 49ers (9 p.m. ET) at Marlins Park.

Six days before the big game, teams will be introduced on stage, meet with the media and take a team photo — all part of a made-for-TV event that will be live on NFL Network.

Follow along below for highlights from the evening, whether it be a whacky question, an amazing anecdote or an uplifting answer.

Punt, Pass, Kick Andy Reid makes an appearance

It feels like the legendary picture of the Chiefs coach — the one of him towering over the competition at a punt, pass and kick competition as a youngster in 1971 — is guaranteed to pop up on a primetime broadcast at least once a season.

And someone honored the photo by appearing as Punt, Pass and Kick Andy Reid on Monday (they got his number right, but somehow misspelled his last name).

Still an A for effort.

Tyreek Hill gives Richard Sherman opposite of bulletin board material

When an athlete says “I have a lot of smack for you right now, make sure you all get your cameras out,” what usually follows next are not words of encouragement.

But Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill does not want to give 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman any needed ammunition before the Super Bowl.

“Richard Sherman, I respect your game, man,” Hill said. Thank you for locking down receivers. You are truly a GOAT and I really hope we can jersey swap at the end of the game. Much respect to you, stay healthy, stay humble and keep grinding. I can’t wait for the matchup.”

No fireworks here, yet.

Andy Reid is loving Miami’s food scene

There’s Chiefs coach Andy Reid in his patented Hawaiian shirt, the perfect fit for Miami this week. (His players dressed up like him on their flight to Miami, too.)

What really has Reid jazzed up, other than the chance of winning his first Super Bowl as a head coach, is the local cuisine.

A Cuban sandwich awaited Reid in his hotel room when Kansas City arrived Sunday. And on Monday, he made sure to get his fill of rice, beans and pork.

Which players will be on the podium at Opening Night?

Not every player has the honor a podium spot bestowed to him. Here’s who will be on the dais at some point Monday night. For the 49ers:
