The Xbox One X will be released in two weeks, and Microsoft just rolled out a new campaign to promote the high-end hardware.
It’s called “Feel True Power,†which is a nod to the video game console’s increased horsepower to run titles in true 4K resolution. Microsoft’s “Feel True Power†campaign launched on Sunday night with the first television advertisement for the Xbox One X.
With Kanye West’s “Power†playing in the background, the TV ad shows the life-like appearance of games and videos through the Xbox One X. It emphasizes feeling true awe, excitement, fear, and passion. Clips from titles like Forza, Halo, and Assassin’s Creed were showcased.
The spot aired during NBC’s Sunday Night Football and AMC’s The Walking Dead. Both programs generate over 10 million viewers each, and last night it’s possible each drew north of 15 million viewers. Microsoft clearly chose the right time. Last night was a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots as well as the season premiere of the popular zombie-loving AMC show. You can’t choose a better pair of events for your new product to be seen.
Microsoft will release the Xbox One X on Tuesday, November 7. It’ll sell for $499, the same price the Xbox One first had in 2013. If you don’t need all the enhancements the Xbox One X brings, the Xbox One S is available for as little as $279.
