Taylor Swift Cuts Her Blonde Hair Even Shorter, Debuts Shoulder-Length Lob
Taylor Swift cut a few more inches off her hair.
Swift, 36, debuted an even shorter mane on Friday, October 2, via her official Taylor Nation’s Instagram Story. In the pic, the singer’s honey blonde hair was cut to her shoulders, seemingly with more layers than she had at the 2026 MTV VMAs on Sunday, September 27. Her hair was styled in loose curls with her bangs blown out over her forehead.
For glam, Swift donned soft makeup including glowy skin, winged eyeliner, long lashes and pink lips. She wore a maroon sweater with a button-up neck and soft collar. The “Patient Zero” singer styled her top with tan pleated pants and a black leather belt with gold hardware.
At the VMAs, where Swift took home two Moon Person awards, her hair draped slightly past her collarbone and was worn down and straightened.

Swift previously debuted a shorter haircut in August. On what marked her first public appearance since tying the knot with her husband, Travis Kelce, Swift’s mane was cut a few inches below her shoulders, which was a dramatic difference from her signature waist-length hair. At the time, her tresses were parted down the center and worn down with her fringe neatly styled over her forehead.
She styled her new ‘do with a lavender Delphine dress featuring a low-cut neckline, an A-line skirt adorned with pink, sparkly florals and spaghetti straps. She made her look even more dazzling with a crystal-embellished Christian Louboutin purse, Aquazzura heels, a Cartier watch, a tennis bracelet and her massive engagement ring.
Swift again showed off her haircut later that month while slaying in a navy dress with a plunging neckline, lace florals, and delicate gold embroidery while attending Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk’s wedding in Bath, Gloucestershire. For the event, her bangs were swept to the side and the rest of her hair was styled in soft curls.
