Fair question, friend. Super Mario Run jumped onto the iOS platform on December 15, 2016. It’s on pace to take at least two-and-a-half months to reach Android.
Nintendo explained late last year that the reason for going with iOS first was due to Android’s predisposition towards piracy. Here’s Miyamoto back then.
But actually, the security element is one of the reasons that we decided to go with iPhone and iOS first. So this is just — based on the current development environment — a requirement that’s been built into the game to support security and the fact that the three different modes are connecting to the network and interacting with one another.
We’ll have more on the official March release date for the Android version of Super Mario Run as it comes.
