Image Form has always been one of the premier indie developers for Nintendo platforms. SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Heist are both highlights of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U lineups, and they appeared on Nintendo consoles before anywhere else.
The highly anticipated sequel SteamWorld Dig 2 coming to the Nintendo Switch first is just following in those footsteps. The indie platformer will appear first on the Nintendo Switch on Sept. 21 for $19.99, and it will follow on the PlayStation 4 and PC “a few days later.â€
But, you can’t take those versions with you wherever you go.
Image Form has built a fun gaming universe where robots run things in a Western setting. This steampunk setup comes loaded with plenty of possibilities, and the company has done a great job dipping into platformers and strategy titles. Once SteamWorld Dig 2 becomes a hit, we can’t wait to see where Image and Form goes next.
SteamWorld Dig 2 launches for the Nintendo Switch on Sept 21, and it will come to the PlayStation 4 and PC “a few days later.â€
