Capcom originally approached the Switch with a cautious attitude, but Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers met the publisher’s expectations and convinced it to support further projects.
While they are no Resident Evil 4, the first one is at least a really solid game. Resident Evil Revelations has become something of a fan favorite in the post-Resident Evil 4 chronology for the series, being one of the few to combine the horror and action with an admirable balance, relative to Resident Evil 4 of course.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 is decent at best. It acted as an experiment to see how Resident Evil worked on a budget and as an episodic release. Capcom obviously didn’t return to the model given the different direction that Resident Evil 7 took.
Look for these two games on the Nintendo Switch this fall or winter. If you snatch them, we might finally get a portable version of Resident Evil 4 in the near future!
