Rare Brown Booby recuperating in Victoria

A singular pleasant Brown Booby bird is being treated during a reconstruction centre after being found in Victoria, B.C., this week.

On Monday, a surprising bird — which typically frequents pleasant sea areas — was seen vibrating during Ogden Point.

“It’s a unequivocally kind of weird-looking bird,” pronounced Ann Nightingale, birder and proffer during a Rocky Point Bird Observatory.

She says a Brown Booby is rare for Victoria and this is usually a fifth such sighting in a city given 2009.

Because a bird seemed to be sick, a SPCA was called and a Booby was taken to a Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre where it is undergoing treatment.
