OnePlus held an event today and took the wraps off the OnePlus 6, an impressive flagship that looks to shake up the Android market. That being said, lets go in the opposite direction and see how it compares to the best iOS device, the iPhone X.
By now you are very familiar with the iPhone X, but let’s backtrack quickly. The iPhone X wears a gorgeous glass on glass build put together by a stainless steel band. Up at the front lives a 5.8-inch display that has on multiple times been rated as the best smartphone display, even with its notch. Powering Apple’s flagship is an A11 Bionic chip, 3GB of RAM and 2,716mAh battery. We can’t forget about the 12MP dual camera that consistently performs as one of the best.
With the OnePlus 6, OnePlus ditched the aluminum and symmetrical display and adopted the popular glass on glass build and the polarizing notch. Its 6.2-inch display, Snapdragon 845 processor, (up to) 8GB of RAM and 16MP dual camera system gives it the newest and most powerful specs of any Android device.
Although you may want to point to RAM options as the biggest difference between the OnePlus 6 and iPhone X, it is actually the price. Starting at $529, the OnePlus 6 is nearly half of the starting $999 price of the iPhone X. Then again, they are aimed at two very different segments. One is meant to be affordable while the other is supposed to be ultra premium.
You can see the spec comparison down below and decide for yourself which one you prefer.
