Miles Teller thoughtfully had his wife Keleigh Teller’s wedding gown remade after the original dress was lost in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year.
“Is this my wedding dress?” Keleigh, 33, asked Miles, 38, after opening a large red box containing the garment bag in a TikTok video shared on Friday, December 26, tearing up at Miles’ surprise present. “Oh, my God. Oh, my God.”
Miles and Keleigh, who have been married since 2019, lost their home in the January wildfires that devastated thousands of acres, homes and businesses in Los Angeles while killing hundreds. While the couple were able to evacuate the city limits in time, they did not grab all of their belongings.
“To everyone reaching out I can’t thank you enough, your kind hearts have meant the world, I’ll never forget them,” Keleigh wrote via Instagram on January 10. “Community has come out stronger than I could imagine, Pacific Palisades, I love you beyond measure you are a little slice of heaven [and] we will come back stronger than ever.”
She continued, “I wish I grabbed my wedding dress, wish I did a lot different but it doesn’t matter, stay safe, get out 💔💔. There are no words. THANK YOU to the first responders fighting.”
Miles later revealed that he and Keleigh were able to “grab very little” keepsakes while they were evacuating.
“[My wife and I] never thought [the fire] was going to come where we were, it’s very residential,” the Eternity star said on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in February. “We weren’t surrounded by any brush or anything.”
He continued, “Fire is scary. I grew up on the East Coast and hurricanes, a lot of the time, in Florida, usually a lot of the time, they’re kind of scaring you for like a week. You have a heads up. But the fire, man, it moved fast.”
@keleighteller Miles had my wedding dress that burned in the fire remade 🥹🎄❤️ so happy 😭 Merry Christmas everyone! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
Miles, who was able to save his late grandfather’s watch, and Keleigh have also received support and assistance from their loved ones.
“Many people have reached out, just either letting us know that they’re there emotionally or people are offering us their place,” Miles told E! News that same month. “I’m a Deadhead, and so I’ve had a lot of people reach out to Keleigh like, ‘I want to send Miles a Grateful Dead shirt.’ Little stuff just means a lot, so it’s been very heartwarming.”

Miles got choked up reliving the ordeal while hosting Saturday Night Live last month.
“SNL has always been one of the more consistent parts of my life. I lived in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Delaware, [New] Jersey and Florida all before I was 12,” Miles said in his opening monologue. “I’m so happy to be here with all of you. A lot has happened since the last time that I hosted [in 2022]. A few months ago, my wife and I lost our house in the Palisades fire.”
He concluded, “Don’t worry. Seriously, do not worry. We’re doing great. That experience has made me incredibly grateful to have so many places that I can call home.”
