Nougat continues to grow market share as we say good-bye to old desserts

Adoption of Nougat has been a little slower than we expected. According to the latest batch of distribution figures, the flavor has a total market share of 13.5 percent, which is up just 2 percent from last month.

Marshmallow, on the other hand, has seen an increase of 0.5 percent, while Lollipop, KitKat, Jelly Bean, Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread all took a considerable step towards to their inevitable demise.

Something to bear in mind

As we’ve said a million times in the past (a slight exaggeration, we know), these figures only account for Android smartphones and tablets that accessed the Play Store during a predetermined 7-day period.
