Many have speculated about the battery life of the Nintendo Switch since it first appeared, and Nintendo finally confirmed the specs. During its presentation this evening, Nintendo stated battery life would vary from game to game, but on average, it would last 2.5 to 6.5 hours of play.
Many also expressed concern about the charging port as well, wondering if the console could be charged without the charging deck. Nintendo confirmed that the console could both run and charge with a standard USB Type-C cable and AC adaptor.
