Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., suffered a fractured shoulder after a tumble Sunday morning during his home.
McConnell harmed his shoulder after he tripped and fell while on the outward square of his Louisville home. The specifics of his injury, such as that shoulder was injured, was not revealed.
“This morning, Leader McConnell tripped during home on his outward square and suffered a fractured shoulder,” David Popp, McConnell’s communications director, pronounced in a statement.
The 77-year-old was treated and expelled and is operative from his home, Popp said.
McConnell returned to Kentucky after a Senate began a five-week recess Thursday, hailing a cover for a hard-won bill understanding that staves off a probable supervision shutdown.
The matter pronounced a senator had expressed his sympathies to a people of El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, following a new mass shootings in those communities and that he had been in hold with Republican Sens. John Cornyn of Texas and Rob Portman of Ohio to “express his deepest sympathies for a people of El Paso and Dayton and plead a meaningless tragedies of this weekend.”

Mass shootings within hours of any other in both cities killed a total 29 people and harmed dozens more.
Several Democrats including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called on McConnell to call a Senate back Capitol Hill for an emergency event to discuss and opinion on concept credentials checks legislation.
