The Hydrogen One, which was teased almost a year ago with minimal information offered, will be released this summer.
RED joined carriers ATT and Verizon in announcing the phone’s availability on their networks. The company will bring the Hydrogen One to ATT Shape, an event including exhibits that “explore how technology is revolutionizing entertainment.†The Hydrogen One uses a four-view holographic display that’s apparently even better than 3D. Users can see around, below, and into the screen’s image.
YouTube personality Marques Brownlee seems to be the only person who’s actually used the phone.
ATT Shape is taking place at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles next month, so it won’t be long before the public gets to experience the Hydrogen One for the first time.

When it does become available this summer, expect the Hydrogen One to be wildly expensive. RED initially planned to sell its first mobile device earlier this year starting at $1,200.
ATT and Verizon didn’t call their arrangements exclusive; therefore, don’t rule out seeing the Hydrogen One on other networks. T-Mobile and Sprint could step forward in the coming weeks and months to sell the phone.
RED shared a few weeks ago that its first phone had been delayed. Now the Hydrogen One should be released in August, and with ATT and Verizon’s support.
