Jenna Johnson Steps Out for Victoria’s Secret Show Amid ‘DWTS’ Drama
Jenna Johnson brushed off the Dancing With the Stars drama for a glamorous night out at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
“Saw the angels tonight 🪽✨💕 @victoriassecret,” Johnson, 32, captioned an Instagram video on Sunday, October 18, sharing a glimpse of her bombshell look.
Johnson hit the red carpet in a red minidress adorned with roses on the strapless neckline. Her dark hair cascaded around her shoulders and was parted down the middle. The ballroom pro accessorized with diamond jewelry.
Fans and friends gushed over her dolled-up look in the comments section.
“This LOOK!! 😍😍 Omg you’re an angel,” Danielle Fishel wrote, while DWTS: The Next Pro winner Adele Zaikman added, “So beautiful ❤️.”
Johnson even scored praise from the official Victoria’s Secret account, which commented, “What an absolute bombshell 😍💖.”
Johnson was not joined by her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, for the event, which took place one day after news broke that he will not participate in the upcoming Dedication Night episode of DWTS season 35.
The drama began during Super Bowl Night on Tuesday, October 13, when judge Carrie Ann Inaba called out a lift in Johnson’s samba with Harry Shum Jr. Johnson appeared surprised by the critique, which led Inaba, 58, to provide an exact definition of a lift.
Despite the tense moment, Johnson insisted after the show that she would take Inaba’s feedback. Chmerkovskiy, 40, defended his wife online — with one comment in particular raising eyebrows.
“You almost saw Fresh Prince enter the ballroom last night,” he noted in a since-deleted post, referring to when Will Smith told Chris Rock, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth,” at the 2022 Oscars.
Inaba reacted to the comment via Instagram on Thursday, October 15, writing, “So this is what we are doing now?”
Amid ongoing discourse within the DWTS fandom, BBC Studios confirmed on Saturday, October 17, that Chmerkovskiy would be sitting out on Dedication Night after his “inappropriate” post. His partner, Jenna Dewan, will dance with pro Alan Bersten.
Chmerkvoskiy quickly shared a statement of his own via his Instagram Story. (Johnson, meanwhile, has not addressed the situation directly.)
“In a moment where my instinct was to defend my wife, I made a poor decision to reference a meme to keep my wife’s name out of the conversation without stopping to think through what else that reference could imply, which was genuinely never my intention,” Chmerkovskiy wrote on Saturday. “Carrie Ann certainly didn’t deserve to get caught in the middle of my bad judgment, and I hate that she was.”

The dancer explained that he didn’t want to “become a distraction from an important week” as Dewan, 45, honors her mom, Nancy.
“Please send Carrie Ann, Jenna and the whole DWTS family lots of love during Dedication Night,” he wrote. “I’ll be watching and cheering everyone on!!”
