Download new apps

Whether you’re looking for an alternative browser, more advanced email app, or simply want a camera experience that give you greater control, the iOS App Store is filled with a lot of great apps. We have some recommendations on what to get. If I had to choose just one, it would be Things 3, which I find indispensable for getting things done.

Customize Control Center

Control Center is a helpful pane that gives users quick access to important settings, like airplane mode, portrait lock, and screen brightness. Out of the box it includes a handful of shortcuts, but it becomes even more powerful once you customize it to your liking.

By heading to Settings Control Center Customize Controls, you can easily add or delete shortcuts to things like Wallet, low power mode, Notes, screen recording, and more. Once you customize Control Center, it’ll become an integral part of your daily experience.

Control Location Settings

Most apps today ask for basic permissions, including your location. Developers give users three options: Never, While Using, or Always. Depending on how much you value your privacy, you’ll choose the option that works best for you. I typically prefer to never share my location, or else I choose the “while using” option.

I won’t get into the details of which option is good or bad. But it’s important to know that you have control over which apps track you and when.
