Foxconn starts distributing the iPhone X

Just 46,500 units have left Foxconn’s production facilities in China, according to Xinhuanet. The shipment will be split between the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates. These are two markets much smaller than ones like the United States and parts of Asia where the iPhone X will be in high demand by millions of people, which makes the small number of units acceptable for this shipment.

When the release date hits, Foxconn is expected to be able to produce 400,000 units per week. The current restrictions on production are being blamed on components for FaceID, the facial recognition platform.

Apple will begin taking pre-orders for the iPhone X at the end of the month, and then the device will ship in early November. There’s no doubt it’ll be hard to get; therefore, check out our tips to mastering the pre-order window that starts on October 27. If you follow some of them, maybe you’ll get an iPhone X when it’s released on November 3.
