Erin Andrews Reveals New Details of Viral Fur Coat — Including the Price
Erin Andrews spilled all the tea on her viral fur coat.
Andrews, 47, shared everything there is to know about her black-and-white faux fur coat, which she wore during the San Francisco vs. Philadelphia Eagles game on Sunday, January 11.
During the Thursday, January 15, episode of her “Calm Down With Erin and Charissa” podcast, the sports journalist shared that wearing the coat on the sidelines, which featured a tan collar with black-and-white spotted fur lining and sleeves, was outside of her comfort zone.
“Im actually proud of myself because you know I’m super safety, within the box [when it comes to clothes], and I was like, ‘This is fun! F*** it!’

How She Got the Coat
Erin Andrews explained that she was gifted the coat from Rob Zangardi, the founder of Auter. “I didn’t know that was the one I was getting,” she said. “I thought I was getting a different one.”
Andrews went on to gush that Zangardi dresses “the biggest stars,” including Hailee Steinfeld, Jennifer Lopez, Mila Kunis, Gwen Stefani, Kerry Washington and more. When Andrews’ friend suggested that she wear one of the designer’s coats for the game, she agreed that she would if he had “something available.” She trusted Zangardi to pick the piece out for her.
Where Is the Fur From on Erin Andrews’ Coat?
“The jacket is from a brand new, small company called Auter,” Andrews shared, noting it’s pronounced “Outer.” She also revealed that she knew the brand would launch a year before it did through mutual friends. Is Erin Andrews’ Coat Real Fur?
Andrews ensured her audience that she does not wear real fur. “What world do you guys live in, by the way, that you think as animal lovers, [I would wear real fur],” she said. “I’m not wearing real fur, you moron! I started an animal sanctuary!” (Andrews previously opened a sanctuary, Erin’s Farm, that rescues animals and gives them homes.) “Where are the puppies?” she joked in a Cruella de Vil voice.

Andrews shared that she’s not one to usually get so glammed up for a football game.

“Listen, this is a girl that walks around with a Tumi backpack and a North Face and a ski suit every week,” she said. “I knew it was freaking fun, and fashionable and outside the box for me. I was like this is fun and I’m actually proud of myself because you know I’m super safe, within the box, and I was like, ‘This is fun! F*** it!’”
While wearing the coat, Andrews gushed that she fit right in with stylish fans and WAGs. “Walking out in Philly and those gals in the stands are dressed to the nines,” she explained. “A lot of them are down on the field and they are in their fur. I was jumping right in and really feeling my Philly self. I just wanted a European cigarette.”
After going viral, Andrews shared that a flight attendant recognized her and told her that she “better” see that coat on her again.
