You’re not alone in feeling it’s totally random.
While it may appear to be odd, Apple does get the point across. No matter where you are, you can use an iOS device to see and communicate with multiple people at the same time.

The song was released on June 17, 1961. It was included on Presley’s Something for Everybody album.
As for the software on Apple’s iPhone and iPad, iOS 12.1 came with plenty of other goodies. The system-level upgrade enabled new emoji, eSIM support, and bug fixes.
