St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Jim Edmonds has been hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms and is being tested for coronavirus.

The four-time All-Star shared his experience Saturday on Instagram, writing: “Held off as long as I could. I thought I was tough enough to get through. This virus is no joke. #gethealthy.”

He has not posted an update on the results of his test.

The Cardinals tweeted: “Thinking of our friend, Jim Edmonds, and hoping he starts feeling better soon!”

Edmonds, an eight-time Gold Glove winner, helped lead the Cardinals to the 2006 World Series title. He played most of his 17-year career with the Los Angeles Angels and the Cardinals.

He currently works as a broadcaster for Fox Sports Midwest.
