2 Uncle Ben’s rice varieties cold in eastern Canada

Mars Food Canada is willingly withdrawing name Uncle Ben’s rice products, including a Fast  Fancy Broccoli and Cheddar, and Country Chicken flavoured rice, after training about probable salmonella decay in a seasoning pouches in both products. The withdrawal usually affects products sole in eastern Canada.

In a statement, a association pronounced it is conducting a withdrawal “out of an contentment of caution.”

“We are operative with a singular series of impacted retailers in eastern Canada to have a product private from store shelves,” it said.

The association said while a infancy of influenced products have already retrieved, customers should check any packages of rice featuring any of the lot codes listed here. It says influenced products should not be consumed.

The withdrawal comes amid a flurry of food product recalls inspiring Loblaws and Ritz products. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said Saturday it is recalling Ritz bits sandwich crackers and No Name duck nuggets for risk of salmonella contamination.

The breaded nuggets, offering during Maxi, Provigo, AXEP and Intermarché grocery stores in Quebec, were sole in boxes of 907 grams with a best before date “2019 MA 15.”

The removed Ritz crackers were sole in packs of 180 grams, 30 X 42 grams and 42 grams. The best before dates are Nov 2018 to Mar 2019.
