She’s the face of one of TV’s most iconic commercials. 

And this week the 56-year-old advertising icon was spotted looking unrecognizable as she ran errands in Los Angeles. 

The actress went makeup-free for the outing and kept it casual in a grey turtleneck sweatshirt and black leggings with white stripes running down the sides.

She wore her raven hair swept back and accessorized with a pair of eyeglasses and hot pink slides. 

The New York native starred in over 1,000 commercials for one of the largest insurance companies in the United States.

That’s right, it’s Stephanie Courtney!

Courtney famously played Flo the Progressive Insurance saleswoman starting in 2008.

Her casual appearance this week was a far cry from Flo’s signature retro-inspired look, complete with a crisp white uniform, bright red lipstick and a blue headband. 

The character has developed a dedicated fan base online and has become one of advertising’s most iconic mascots. 

Flo, who worked as a cashier, was known for her highly upbeat personality.

Courtney has previously revealed that it took around an hour to style Flo’s hair, followed by another hour for her makeup.

The Progressive store employee was created by copywriter John Park and art director Steve Reepmeyer at the Boston-based agency Arnold Worldwide.

Courtney has an estimated net worth of $6 million to $7 million, with most her wealth coming directly from her longtime role as Flo.
