Listen to Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s unearthed prison phone confessions about baby daddy Ken Urker years before his mystery death age 34: ‘I hope he overdoses’

Ever since Ken Urker was found dead, his ex, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, has been petitioning to put an end to cyberbullying.

‘People need to understand what sustained online harassment can look like when hundreds or thousands of individual posts, comments, videos, and discussions accumulate against one human being,’ the former convict shared on Instagram alongside an ‘evidence log’ of harmful messages Urker received.

‘Behind the screen was a real person. A father and partner. Someone who was loved.’

But what Blanchard, 35, failed to share with her audience in that post is how she, too, sent Urker hateful messages during heated disputes in the years before his sudden death.

Urker was found dead in his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on October 1. It was his 34th birthday. Police continue to investigate his death, though there is no evidence that Blanchard – or anyone else – was involved.

Blanchard first connected with Urker from behind bars after she was convicted in 2016 of second-degree murder for the death of her mother, Claudine ‘Dee Dee’ Blanchard. She was released on parole in December 2023.

Last week, the Daily Mail obtained audio of Blanchard admitting to a friend that in 2025 she stabbed Urker’s headboard with a knife during a drunken, jealous rage and fired off ‘a lot of mean texts like you’re a piece of s**t.’

Now, we have obtained an additional recording from a December 2020 phone call made to Ryan Anderson from the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri, in which she admitted to telling Urker to ‘overdose.’

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard could be heard on several calls from her time in prison admitting that she told Ken Urker that she ‘hopes he overdose[s]’

The new audio was recorded while Blanchard was kindling her romance with Anderson from behind bars. She and Urker had been split up for several months.

In the call, Blanchard told Anderson that she had listened to a song called You Broke Me First by Tate McRae, which she described as a ‘very sad little melody about someone that somebody is trying to get back with them.’

‘So, anyway, I sent him that song,’ she added, referring to Urker, ‘and then, next thing you know, he gone,’ an apparent reference to him leaving her.

Anderson, 40, whom she was dating at the time, replied, ‘Whatever, you’ll be calling him soon’ – and that’s when Blanchard made the shocking revelation.

‘No, even after I told him he could overdose and all that, like, he still kept himself on my email, like, he never took himself off no matter how bad we got into it or how bad it seemed like we were at odds,’ she said.

Clearly uncomfortable, Anderson then snapped: ‘I don’t want to talk about Ken. F**k Ken.’

A few months later, in March 2021, Blanchard reiterated on another call with Anderson how she once ‘told Ken I hope he overdose[s].’

She then went on to describe how she told one of her other male suitors that if she were with him: ‘I wouldn’t let you ignore me.’

‘I’m the type of person that would stay in yo face, knocking at your door, throwing cans at your car,’ the then-prisoner added before breaking out into a laugh.

Anderson replied: ‘Oh, Lord. I’ve gotta go. I don’t know that I want to talk to you anymore.’

Blanchard and Anderson wed in a small prison ceremony a year later in July 2022.

But the pair parted ways not long after her December 2023 prison release, and she later rekindled with Urker, who she also connected with as a pen pal while behind bars in 2017.

Blanchard and Urker later welcomed their first child, Aurora, in December 2024.

But behind closed doors, the Daily Mail recently learned, they were not as happy a couple as they portrayed on social media.

Urker and Blanchard rekindled their relationship in 2024 and welcomed a daughter that year

Blanchard admitted to her imprisoned pal Amelia Bird in September 2025 that she had a violent outburst after she found Urker had allegedly written a card to an ex-girlfriend.

The Daily Mail also obtained video from that alleged blowup, in which the mother of one could be seen cutting up a blanket with scissors.

‘This is how I feel about you! Lies, lies, lies!…. F**k you!’ Blanchard shouted in tears.  Urker was not present for the outburst, but she later sent him a video of it.

A few weeks ago on October 1, Urker was found dead in his Louisiana home.

According to police, his body was found surrounded by syringes, a spoon and a holstered handgun, and a ‘brown powdery substance’ was nearby.

Blanchard – who had not been living with him at the time as the couple were separated – told media outlets that she suspected her child’s father had overdosed.

Urker’s sister Autumn slammed the narrative that her brother’s suspected overdose was intentional

No official cause of death for Urker has been released

Urker’s official autopsy and toxicology reports are pending. In the meantime, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.

It has not found evidence of foul play, but has not ruled it out.

The Daily Mail spoke exclusively to Urker’s younger sister Autumn, who slammed the idea that her brother’s suspected overdose was intentional.

‘The narrative being pushed is suicide, and that is a very hurtful narrative to the family and to anybody who loved him,’ she told us last week.

‘I’m trying to respect my brother and give him dignity. That’s why I’m being open, because that’s not fair to him.’

Blanchard rose to fame following her imprisonment for her part in the murder of her mother, who is believed to have abused her daughter by fabricating illnesses and disabilities and forcing her to get treatment. Her story was retold in a 2017 HBO documentary and dramatized in 2019 show The Act.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Blanchard and Anderson for comment but has not heard back.
