The Stranger Things star, 27, returned to the hacked account on Monday to post an apology.
‘Hey everyone, I was hacked as I’m sure everyone knows,’ began Joe’s message.Â

The worst of the comments featured the N-word and claims that Keery was ‘molested’ on the set of Stranger Things.
One post specifically aimed racist comments towards Joe’s co-star Caleb McLaughlin, and even tagged his official account.
Another claimed an attack on co-star Gaten Matarazzo ‘knocked his teeth out’, a false claim given the young actor suffers from cleidocranial dysplasia, a bone condition that affects the growth of his teeth.
A rep for Twitter told Page Six, ‘As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we locked the compromised account and investigated the situation.’Â
