Kevin Bacon, needs to cut loose on occasion!
The “Footloose” star and his wife Kyra Sedgwick are the latest celebrities to hop on nostalgic TikTok trends, following behind Alicia Silverstone’s reenactment of a scene in “Clueless” and Gabrielle Union’s recreation of a “10 Things I Hate About You” scene on the social media app.
Bacon, 63, and Sedgwick, 56, decided to take on the challenge of a TikTok dance trend set to Kenny Loggins’ title track of the 1984 film.
Showing the kids how it’s done, Bacon held Sedgwick horizontally by one arm and one leg before doing a perpendicular spin to lower her down. The “Footloose Drop” trend, which isn’t a recreation from the 1984 film, times the downward spiral to the beat drop right before the chorus.
The couple high-fived one another after nailing the move.
Bacon, who played Ren McCormack in the musical drama, captioned the TikTok clip, “I don’t remember this being part of the original #Footloose choreography, but figured we’d give it a spin.”
“And yes, this was just as hard as it looks,” the actor wrote in the comments section of the video.
Paramount Pictures supported him, commenting, “Still got it.”
Bacon and Sedgwick’s daughter Sosie Bacon, 30, also cheered on her parents after seeing the video on Instagram.
“GET ITTTT,” the “As We See It” actress wrote.

The couple, who have been married since 1988, also share son Travis, 33.
Bacon discussed the glue to his relationship with Sedgwick in an interview with People in July 2020, noting that they are each other’s biggest cheerleaders.
“Kyra and I believe in each other as actors, as directors and as talent. She’s never been anything other than supportive of me,” he shared. “She doesn’t have a competitive bone in her body when it comes to me. She takes my successes as hers. I’m the same way.”
He added: “Her partnership is invaluable. I found someone I was meant to be with.”
