Presley hip swiveled his way to a musical comeback for the ages. The feature film follows Presley during a tour stop in Phoenix and rehearsing in Culver City, Calif., and Las Vegas. In one scene, Presley reads letters from friends wishing him luck.

“Here’s hoping you have a very successful opening and that you break both legs. Signed, Tom Jones,” Presley says, and laughs, as he reads one such note.

But the most electrifying part of the show captures him onstage at Vegas’ International Hotel, performing hits such as “Love Me Tender,” “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Suspicious Minds,” wearing his now-iconic bedazzled jumpsuit.

From Dec. 3 to Dec. 6, a remastered version of the film will show at theaters across the country. The special event, a partnership between Trafalgar Releasing and Warner Bros., aims to bring the concert film to more than 375 cinemas in 41 states at theaters such as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, AMC Theatres and Cinemark Theatres.

Trafalgar Releasing’s roster also includes films “Stevie Nicks 24 Karat Gold” concert movie, “Idiot Prayer – Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace” and “Little Mix – LM5: The Tour Film”.
