Heidi Klum teases ‘very bloody’ Halloween costume ahead of her legendary annual party

Heidi Klum has dropped fans a hint about her upcoming 2026 Halloween costume – and it’s set to be as over-the-top as ever.

Over the past few years, Klum, 53, has become known for her legendary costumes that she wears during her iconic Halloween party in New York City each holiday.

‘It goes very well with red wine,’ the supermodel told People in a new interview about her upcoming costume.

‘It’s very, very bloody,’ she added.

Last year, Klum arrived at her party dressed as Medusa from Clash of the Titans.

She looked completely unrecognizable in a green, head-to-toe snakeskin costume featuring a wild headpiece adorned with rattlesnakes. 

The outfit was finished with a long, curved tail that trailed behind her on the red carpet all night long.

On her Instagram page, she gave fans a behind-the-scenes look into how she transformed into the character using special makeup and colored contacts.

Last year, Klum arrived at her party dressed as Medusa from Clash of the Titans

However, her most famous costume of all might have been the one that she wore in 2022, when she dressed up as a worm

In past years, Klum’s other costumes have included transforming into E.T., a peacock, an alien and Princess Fiona from Shrek.

At the time, Klum arrived as a worm, slithering around on the floor. 

She was totally transformed, and you could barely recognize that it was the supermodel underneath the thick layers. 

The costume was so realistic that it instantly went viral, lighting up the internet.

To make the costume come to life, she worked with Mike Marino, owner of Prosthetic Renaissance, a special effects company that has made tons of realistic-looking Halloween costumes over the years. 

Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, completed the other half of her costume as a fisherman.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the time, Klum admitted that she felt ‘claustrophobic’ while wearing the elaborate costume.

‘I was so claustrophobic in that costume,’ Klum shared. 

‘It is one thing to add prosthetics to your body — but to be stuck inside the worm body and not really be able to use my arms or feet was not very comfortable,’ she said.

‘But Halloween is not about comfort,’ the former America’s Got Talent judge added.

Klum also had to prepare before getting into the worm costume, sharing that she wasn’t able to drink anything for the hours beforehand.

‘I made sure not to drink anything hours before getting into costume as I knew that there was no way to get in and out of it,’ she said at the time.

But in the end, she felt like it was completely worth it, no matter how uncomfortable the worm costume may have been.

‘For me, Halloween is all about transforming and being creative,’ she said.

‘I am happy that people are appreciating the creativity and effort to create this as well as all the other costumes I did in the past. I couldn’t have done it without my team.’
