Mark Indelicato, who is best known as a child star in sitcom Ugly Betty, tied the knot and even had the help of Hollywood icon Jean Smart as he said ‘I do.’
The now 32-year-old actor married longtime partner David Watson on Saturday, October 10 with the 75-year-old eight-time Emmy winner Smart serving as officiant of the romantic outdoor ceremony.
In critically-acclaimed HBO series Hacks, Smart played legendary comedian Deborah Vance while Indelicato portrayed her assistant Damien throughout the show’s run from 2021 to 2026.
Many of the main cast and showrunners were in attendance at the event including Hannah Einbinder and Johnny Sibily who posted videos of the ceremony.
In Sibily’s Instagram Story clip, Smart could be seen saying: ‘Do you, Mark Anthony Indelicato, take David Joel Watson to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, in sickness, in health, for richer, for poorer, as long as you both shall live?’
After Indelicato responds with an ‘I do’, Smart said: ‘Then by the power vested in me by American Marriage Ministers, I now pronounce you husband and husband.’

Einbinder shared a clip of Indelicato and Watson kissing as they both wore black suits with white dress shirts.
The newly-minted husbands later shared their first dance to Paul McCrane track Is it Okay if I Call You Mine.
Other Hacks stars in attendance included Megan Stalter, Paul W. Downs, and Poppy Liu in addition to showrunners Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky.
Their series explored a dark mentorship that forms between Deborah Vance (Smart), a legendary Las Vegas comedian, and an entitled, outcast comedy writer in their mid-20s (Einbinder).
And though Hacks was a highly successful series which earned 14 Emmys total, Indelicato is likely still best known for his role as a child in Ugly Betty.
The talented actor had just a brief role in a Chappelle’s Show sketch, an episode of Hack and a short film to his credit when he landed the role of Betty’s nephew Justin Suarez on Ugly Betty.
The character was partially based on series creator Silvio Horta’s own experiences as a gay teenager being raised by a single mother.
Justin lives with his mother Hilda and aunt Betty and Ignacio, and while it was decided that the character was too young to fully explore his sexuality, it was confirmed in the final season that he was gay.

Justin Suarez has been considered by many critics and pundits as one of the best LGBTQIA+ TV characters of all time
Instead of coming out to his family, Justin confides in Marc St. James first, and the character was believed to be one of the youngest gay characters on television at the time.

Ugly Betty aired over four seasons from 2006 to 2010.
After Ugly Betty went off the air, Mark stepped back from acting and enrolled in New York University to focus on International Relations and Gender Studies.
He then briefly returned to acting to star in the film White Bird in a Blizzard and the short-lived 2016 Freeform series Dead of Summer.
After a four-year hiatus, he returned in 2020 with an episode of Melange before playing Damien in the aforementioned Hacks.
Most recently, he played Jorge Diaz Jr. in the Amazon Prime Video series With Love.
