Alaskan Bush People star Gabe Brown and his wife Raquell Rose have gone their separate ways seven years after they tied the knot.

The 35-year-old reality star reportedly split from Raquell last spring, TMZ reported on Friday.

Brown is the fourth son and middle child of late family patriarch Billy Brown, who died in 2021, and matriarch Ami Brown, who continues to live on the family’s North Star Ranch in rural Washington state.

Sources told the outlet that money struggles and disputes over Brown’s other interests allegedly caused friction in the marriage while Brown has also been grieving over the loss of his older brother Matt.

Raquell became frustrated with her husband’s apparent emotional detachment towards her and the way he put other family members ahead of her needs and the needs of their three children, the sources claimed.

The couple started dating on Valentine’s Day 2018 after being introduced by Brown’s sister, Rain, 23.

They wed in two ceremonies the following year near the Brown family compound.

Their first wedding was a private, legal ceremony in January 2019 and officiated by Brown’s brother, Noah.

In June 2019, a second outdoor wedding was held with family and friends that aired on Alaskan Bush People the following year.

‘It’s just a wonderful moment. This feeling, it’s everything I ever dreamed of,’ Brown said at the time, per Us Weekly. ‘This day is going to go down in the history books as one of the best days of my life.’

The cameras captured Raquell walking down the aisle in formal bridal attire before focusing on Brown’s reaction.

‘All of my nervousness, the pre-wedding jitters and all of that, it just stopped as soon as I saw Raquell walking down the aisle. It was like I was coming through a storm on a dark night and all of a sudden I pulled into a nice, safe harbor,’ Brown gushed.

Brown posted a sweet message to his wife on Instagram several months later, writing: ‘When two people meet, and two souls touch. In one look, love is felt. As time goes on, and that love grows into something more, becoming hard to describe I call that blessed. That’s what I feel for Raquell.

‘If you have someone like that in your life cherish them, and never give up on them. If not not just hold on. Love will come to you. God bless us all,’ he concluded.

Alaskan Bush People was one of Discovery’s most popular reality shows and followed the extended Brown family as they attempted to live off the grid in the remote wilderness.

Another complaint of Raquell’s was that he put other family members ahead of her needs and the needs of their three children, according to TMZ

Parents Billy and Ami and their seven children combated daily survival tasks like hunting and fishing, constructing makeshift shelters and harsh weather.

After 14 seasons, the series came to an end in 2022, less than two years after Billy died at age 68 after suffering a seizure.

News of Brown’s marital breakdown comes just months his older brother Matt died of a suspected suicide at age 43.

Matt had been missing three days before his body was pulled from Washington’s Okanogan River by brother Noah, 30, on May 30.

Brother Bear, 39, suggested that Matt took his own life after seeing a wound on his body that looked to be ‘self-inflicted’ but did not reveal the wound’s location or severity.

‘For the past couple days, I’ve been communicating back and forth with the different search teams,’ Bear told Us Weekly.

‘There [were] two separate search teams that were going to look for him. They were nonprofits and we’re all communicating.

‘One of the smaller, more local teams decided to go out yesterday, and about – I think it’s 3:20-something, 3:27, 3:28, something like that – they texted me and told me they had found him. So I rushed down to the spot.’

He said rather than ‘leaving the body where it was,’ the small search team decided to load Brown ‘into a small skiff’ and move his body ‘to shore.’

‘Then myself and the rest of the people that were looking hauled the skiff up further on the shore, and that’s where it was… when the coroner came. Right now, all I can say is that he was lost in the river. He was lost in the river and we found him.’

Brown appeared on 2KTUU AK News Source with his grieving siblings Noah and Rain shortly after Matt’s death.

‘What I wanted for Matt was that he would, kind of come back to how we used to be,’ Brown said. ‘Cause he used to be like so fun loving, so full of life, so curious, and he taught me so many different things and I have so many memories with Matt of just – just great times.’

‘It definitely made it to where you, you can feel the finality of it a little bit more,’ Noah shared. ‘Cause until that moment there was that hope, like it was talking about of like, maybe, maybe it’s not, maybe he’s not lost in the river. Maybe, maybe he’s still there.’

Rain added: ‘He was a really good inspiration for me when I was going through my struggles to just keep on the light side of things. And he, he told me at a point, and he goes, you know, if you fall down seven times, stand up eight.’
