Watch: Congressman loses sports bet, sings ‘Meet a Mets’ on House floor
Sports bets can make people do a many annoying things.
So it was that Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., a fan of a Los Angeles Dodgers, took to a building of a U.S. House on Friday to recite “Meet a Mets†— a old-school quarrel strain of a New York Mets, who bumped a Dodgers from this year’s ball playoffs.
He was profitable off a gamble to a co-worker and Mets fan, Rep. Steve Israel, D-N.Y.
We contend recite since we can’t unequivocally report Schiff’s bid as singing — not that he had good element to work with.
