Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., live tweeted himself reading the “no good, rotten deficit spending bill” Thursday, and let’s just say he threw its contents under the omnibus.
Rand, known for his dim view of wasteful government spending, didn’t have a lot nice to say about the $1.3 trillion bill the House approved Thursday afternoon 256 to 167.
Shame, shame. A pox on both Houses – and parties. $1.3 trillion. Busts budget caps. 2200 pages, with just hours to try to read it.

Paul’s not the only senator to find fault with the massive bill. Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., called the “grotesque” proposal “the worst he’s ever seen.” And that’s from a Republican, albeit one who’s retiring this year. You can imagine what Dems have to say.
You’ll find Paul on Twitter at @RandPaul, where his profile reveals “I fight for the Constitution, individual liberty and the freedoms that make this country great.”
We guess he’ll be a “no” vote when the Senate takes up the bill with lawmakers up against a Friday midnight deadline before the government runs out of funding. Again.
