U.S. senators briefly discussed a leak during Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ testimony Wednesday — but it was a can of Dr. Pepper, not classified information.
After an animated exchange at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing between Sessions and Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., opened his questioning by saying he accidentally spilled Dr. Pepper on Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
Sasse apologized to Sessions, blaming the soda spill for the commotion on their side of the desk while the previous questions were being discussed.
Twitter users responded in the only way they know how.Â

I kid you not, Ben Sasse had to apologize to Jeff Sessions for accidentally spilling Dr. Pepper on Ted Cruz and creating a distraction.

Cruz joined in, telling his office to cut Sasse off from the Dr. Pepper fridge.
