Former Rhode Island administrator Lincoln Chafee announced Thursday he is exploring a bid for a Democratic presidential nomination.
Chafee, a crony of President Obama who did not find a new tenure in 2014, pronounced in a video posted on his campaign website
He also touted his record, going behind to his days as a mayor of Warwick, R.I., and including his 8 years in a U.S. Senate.
“I don’t like where this is going,†Chafee said. “Americans wish safety, fortitude and sustainability. We will need uninformed ideas and a many sublime tact in this ever changing world.â€
Chafee faces an ascending climb, as Hillary Clinton prepares to burst into a race. The former secretary of State is widely deliberate a heading Democratic contender, even as Martin O’Malley, Jim Webb and Bernie Sanders have trafficked to early presidential nominating states contrast their messages.
In an interview with CNN

As a Republican, Chafee was an early believer of Obama for boss in 2008. He mislaid his Senate re-election bid in 2006 and became an eccentric for his successful 2010 competition for governor.
