That six-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bathroom home owned by an NBA superstar you were hoping to buy?
Taken.
James made a healthy profit, having paid $9 million for the property in 2010 after he left the Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the Miami Heat, ESPN notes. Of course, now that he’s back playing for Cleveland, he didn’t really need the property anymore.
The buyers are Timo and Nathalia Kipp, married real estate investors who had been leasing the 12,178-square-foot mansion since June. They paid $1.6 million
“We’re going to use it as our primary residence,†Timo Kipp told The Real Deal. “We always thought the price was too high and we were able to negotiate it down.”
The Real Deal notes that the compound comes with an infinity pool, a theater, a wine cellar and “a concrete dock with space for two 60-foot yachts.”
We wish the Kipps well in their humble new abode.
