South Korea has dangling a sale of wheat and flour from Canada after a proclamation final week of a find in mid-2017 of an unapproved genetically mutated trait in Alberta.
“We will usually concede sale of wheat products that are reliable not to enclose unapproved genetically mutated wheat,” South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety pronounced in a matter on Monday.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency pronounced on Jun 14 a pellet containing a genetically mutated trait, grown by Monsanto Co to endure a Roundup weed-killer, was found after it survived herbicide spraying.
