In Hollywood, it qualifies as a “possible maybe” with an asterisk — perhaps two.
Representatives for Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, have had exploratory talks about her joining a third season of “The Gentlemen,” Guy Ritchie’s Netflix crime series, according to two people briefed on the discussions, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because no deal had been consummated.
One important caveat: Netflix has not yet ordered a third season of “The Gentlemen.”
Netflix declined to comment, as did Toff Guy Films, one of the production companies behind the series. The publicity firm Sunshine Sachs, which represents Meghan, declined to comment.
The discussions, however preliminary, are another step toward an acting comeback for Meghan, 45, who left the drama “Suits” in 2017 as her relationship with Prince Harry became increasingly serious. She recently returned to acting with a cameo in the forthcoming Amazon MGM movie “Close Personal Friends.”
