Seattle-based record hulk Amazon has announced skeleton to pierce 1,000 new jobs to B.C. by 2020.
This will double a stream series of Amazon employees in B.C.
Alexandre Gagnon, Amazon’s vice-president for Canada and Mexico, pronounced a association will franchise a new 4,500 square-metre building during 402 Dunsmuir Street — its second corporate bureau in Vancouver.
In a release, Premier John Horgan pronounced he welcomed a move.
“We will build on Amazon’s skeleton to pierce 1,000 new jobs to B.C. by stability to open adult entrance to preparation and skills training,” he said.
The announcement, done during a press discussion hold in downtown Vancouver, is unrelated to Amazon’s plans to open a second headquarters.
Eleven Canadian locations — including Vancouver — have submitted bids to horde a headquarters.
