The iPhone X’s price is reportedly scaring Apple fans away

“I was on the fence, I decided to buy the iPhone 8 256gb and the series 3 watch at essentially the same price as the 256 X,” read one response. Another one said, “I think the iPhone X will be a solid phone and I certainly wouldn’t mind having one, but to me the price is definitely overboard.”

The consensus appears to be that the price is indeed too high for a lot of Apple users. There’s just something about breaking the four-figure barrier that turns people off. A big issue of discussion was the storage. If you’re spending $1,000-plus on a phone, it’d probably be best to go with the higher storage (256GB), but that would push the price even higher.

In response to this query, many users just went with the higher storage iPhone 8 or 8 Plus and saved themselves the extra money.

Even so, there are still a lot of people out there that will go with the iPhone X in the end. I laid out my reasoning for doing so a while back, and others will point out other factors they find important, but the iPhone X will certainly see rabid sales when it’s released next month in spite of the high price.
