England manager Sampson leaves post

England women’s inhabitant group manager Mark Sampson has stepped down from his position, a Football Association have announced. 

The news comes one day after Sampson led a Lionesses to a 6-0 feat over Russia in FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019â„¢ qualifying. 

Sampson led England to their best-ever finish during a vital contest when they claimed third place during Canada 2015. This past summer, England reached a UEFA Women’s EURO Netherlands 2017 semi-finals, where they were degraded by a hosts.

In Mar 2015, a 34-year-old led England to a Cyprus Cup title, an annual invitational eight-team tournament.

The Football Association has not announced his replacement.
