Anthony Scaramucci was briefly White House communications director. Just 10 days after accepting the position, Anthony Scaramucci was removed on Monday as White House communications director. Ten days.
Scaramucci’s removal came so fast, in fact, that he hadn’t actually reached his official start date.
And it was even less time in the White House than Michael Flynn, who was also recently let go as President Trump’s national security advisor after a mere 24 days.
Scaramucci was removed by President Trump, according to the New York Times, at the request of newly appointed chief of staff John F. Kelly.
Ten days is short amount of time, people. Just in case it’s not entirely clear just how short, here are some things with a little more staying power.

Crack, crack. (Giphy)
Fun fact, eggs are good for up to five weeks when stored in a fridge. The Mooch barely made it to two before he cracked.

Oh, Kris. (Giphy)
Remember when this was the scandal of the century? When society chided Kim because her second marriage only made it a little more than two months before she filed for divorce? Looking back, two months is a century compared to the Scaramucci timeline.

Lights out. (Giphy)
When the government shutdown in 2013, people around the country were barred from attending national parks (among other things) for 16 long days. Wait, what’s that? Sixteen days? That’s almost a week longer than Scaramucci’s reign.

Des-pa-ci-to (Giphy)
Despacito, the incredibly catchy Spanish song by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber, has been at number one on the Billboard Top 100 songs list for eleven weeks. Scaramucci was unofficial director of communications for one and a half of those.

Chin up, it won’t last that long (Giphy)
Everyone’s had it: the stuffy nose, horrible headaches and desire for chicken noodle soup. The common cold can also be contagious for up to three weeks. If Scaramucci was sniffling at the start of his job, there’s a good chance he still would be.
Twitter also came through with a few more ideas.
