Enjoy this profile of Prey’s dangerous alien predators

Space is dangerous. Even when there are no aliens around, the whole place is trying to kill you just for being there.

Bethesda and Arkane Studios’ upcoming Prey doesn’t offer such a quick, impersonal demise, though. Instead, you’ll have to fight and survive waves of a new alien species called the Typhon in all their various shapes and forms. A new video from developer Arkane shows off some of these monstrous new beings and their abilities. If you consider any sort of information about a game to be spoilers, then, beware: Spoilers.

It’s more than just Mimics

The game’s most basic creature, the Mimic, has gotten a lot of screen time because the idea of solving a puzzle by turning into a coffee cup is novel. But the Typhon have abilities like telekinesis and telepathy as well. I’m looking forward to fighting them and to stealing their powers.

But really I still just want to solve puzzles by turning into a coffee cup.
