Yesterday, Valve’s famous Gabe Newell hosted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Reddit. He fielded tons of questions from fans that ran the gamut of bizarre to completely expected.
What’s going on with Half-Life? Well, Newell didn’t really answer this one. Did you expect him to? Really?
Reddit user Baldemoto asked, “What is the status of Half-Life 3/Half-Life 2 Episode 3?†Pretty direct, right?
Newell’s response? Not so direct.
The number 3 must not be said.
Yep. seriously.
That same user asked Newell if Valve was working on any fully single player games. You know, are they working on stuff more like Portal and Half-Life and less like CS:GO and DOTA 2?
That answer, pretty short, super direct. “Yes.â€
Yep, that’s it. Valve’s working on something that fits in the more narrative-focused, single player genre. It might not be Half-Life, but that’s okay with me. The single player games they’ve made so far have been good, so I’ll take more of those, regardless of their franchise.
