“It’ll be exciting for today,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said of Tagovailoa’s return. “Really in these situations, you’re relying on all medical advice and what he can do. He can go out, throw and do some individual work. That’s exciting for everybody because we miss his personality.”
The Dolphins are 3-2, and reeling following Tagovailoa’s exit during the Bengals game after a 3-0 start.

But Tagovailoa’s return to practice is a positive sign after McDaniel confirmed he has been evaluated by four independent specialists, clearing his way to join teammates again on the practice field.
Dolphins backup Teddy Bridgewater is also progressing through concussion protocol after being taken out of the team’s loss to the Jets last Sunday. If he is cleared to play this week, he will be the backup during the Vikings game, according to McDaniel.
